YOUR TRUTH~

"If you tell the truth, you won't have to remember anything." ~ Mark Twain

The truth can literally make us free, free from the limitations we have imposed on ourselves. The truth can set us free from the bondage of remembering the lies which blaze several trails to those who cross our paths. The truth can empower us with the ability to SEE our true selves when we look in the mirror or seek answers from within. It's not complicated. The truth can always be simpy stated. There aren't versions of the truth or truth scenarios. I have met so many people who can and constantly articulate "their" truth or "the" truth about certain situations, issues or dramas within their lives. However, within seconds of the articulation, they double back into pseudo rebuttles against their own truths in an effort to justify the actions they're taking that contradict, their own, TRUE understanding of the truths they hold. I figure either they enjoy living with a veil over their faces or they're not really ready to live their lives based on the truths they know to be the reality.

The key to our own personal power is in our minds. It NEVER matters what we tell other people in an effort to make ourselves appear happy, well put together, busy, successful, unsuccessful, in love, etc; at the end of the day, when the lights go down and there's no one around that you have to pretend to - you know "YOUR" truth. Use your truth to unlock the greatest (emotional, physical, career, relationship, life) success and power that "YOU" can imagine!

In short, if you can't keep it real with anyone else in the world, try to ALWAYS keep it real with yourself. Because at the end of the day...who in the hell are you trying to fool? And, why?

THROW CAUTION TO THE WIND

THROW CAUTION TO THE WIND

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

Our culture is filled with fear. It drives us in everything we do. We’re afraid to fail and afraid to succeed. We fear never finding a perfect relationship yet fear what would happen if we did. We fear thinking too much, all the while, fearing we're not thinking hard enough. We fear being alive and fear dying all in the same breathe. Many of our dreams are being held hostage by our fear of failure, as well as, our fear of succeeding. Pigeon-holing ones talent leads to frustration, agitation, discontentment and self-loathing. What would it take, for you, to throw caution to the wind and GO FOR IT?

Only you can answer that question…

YOUR LIFE

In life, it's important to surround yourself with like minded individuals; those who exude elements of yourself and of who you aspire to be. Look around at the top five people you spend the most time with. What do you see? Granted, some people serve certain purposes in your life. Understand your own baggage before taking on friends and relatives baggage. Can you stand to spend alot  of hours listening and playing psychologist, lawyer, advisor, refere, mediator, etc.? Sometimes people take advantage and for granted that your ears are theirs and vice-versa. Limit your whining output and limit the amount of whining you'll intake. Marinate! GO DO YOU ALL DAMN DAY!!!!

LIFE

Sometimes it takes a complete stranger to change your life...to give you an epiphany or redirect your method of thinking. Today that happened to me and all I can say is, "Thank You"! In life, my mind becomes so clustered with thoughts, ideas, conversations, dreams, realities, methods, changes, maps, blueprints, detours, stagnations, impatience, pratical thinking, others worries, others concerns, dramas, that I can't sort everything out. I am hendered in my creative process, hence finding myself standing still instead of moving in a forward motion. However, I now understand, accept and embrace the knowledge I received this morning and look VERY forward to what's to come~ Sometimes you have to look life right in the eye, smile and bow your head in the presence of lessons, learning, growth and gratitude. I bow down to that which I have no control over. I embrace change as it happens; I live in the now and I patiently look forward to the blessing the future holds for me! Life is GREAT! I have NO complaints only appreciation of where I am, how I got here and for the power to be who I TRULY AM!

Hey you~

Hey you~

You visited me so many months ago and our affair was long, hard and uncompromising. I never loved you but fell victim to all the promises you ever whisperd to me in the dark of night. I laughed at things you showed me...believed you when you told me how much work I could get done with you by my side~ I even believed you when you expressed how relaxed I'd be after you seduced me after the lights went out.... Your caresses were soft and comforting. I was so tired, so ready for what you promised me only to realize that you tricked me. You weren't on my side, didn't care about me and my well being. Just like your sister. She promised me so many things too but wouldn't allow me to just be quiet, wouldn't be still so I could rest, talked me to death to the point where I couldn't think. Your sister exhausted me just like you! I want to rid myself of both of you forever and I will soon master how to do JUST that! So tell your sister INSOMNIA to kick rocks and you, Mr. Insomnolence, will oneday be someone I speak of in past expressions. I don't want to see you anymore...PLEASE leave me alone~ I just want to SLEEP!!!! LOL!

Seriously,
Angela

THE HOLIDAYS

Christmas is definitely my most favorite holiday of them all! I'm always in a good mood and it takes a lot to bring me down~ I fly out tonight to meet the party crew, which is my crazy family, and we're going to have a very very very long night filled with jokes, laughter and spirits!

There are tons of gifts to wrap and I'm sure that will become part of the evenings festivities! I'm excited for the holiday and the New Year that's approaching! I hope everyone has a great day!

BACK TO ONE

Over the past 30 days or so, I have appreciated being home with my mom. My perspectives haven't wavered not one bit. I think it's important, that in life, we often spend so much time around people we don't really know and who don't really know us that we tend to loose ourselves inside of ourselves until we are able to reconnect with family. ONLY family knows you from birth to now and even if they haven't been around you in years, your foundation is still there. Yes, we all change but in our everyday lives, we tend to bend, stretch, cover, disguise, and eliminate things about ourselves when we're talking to, meeting, and interacting with friends, co-workers, and newbies.

I find it very awe inspiring to be able to recharge with my family. I can be me ALL day and I don't worry about what they think because they will tell you! LOL! But it's all in love.

If you are blessed enough to have family, reconnect on a regular basis and keep tabs on your truth. Don't get lost in life by disconnecting with what's truly real. If there is a rift in the family structure, FIX IT! Life is way too short. Have a conversation and smack each other for letting the rift go on for so long! Don't spend another minute letting time go by~

NEW BEGINNINGS

I haven't been on here for quite some time but I have vouched to make a larger effort to blog! LOL There has been so many new developments in my life, and in trying to keep up  with everything, I've lost sight on blogging. My bad!

The past couple of years have been trying in so many ways but I'm FINALLY at a place of peace and understanding. So often in life, things make no sense in "real time". Only after time has passed and the ability to marinate on the events that have taken place, do we actually have the opportunity to SEE what it was we were supposed to be learning and if nothing else, trying to understand.

Someone posted something so profound and only now did I understand what it meant. It said, "The only people who need closure are those who aren't ready to let go". It was as if I had an epiphany upon reading those words. I now understand that if "letting go" hadn't happened, I would have been trapped in a world that wasn't meant for me. The world that has unfolded over the past 2 years is WAY closer to the life I was destined to have. I know that with everything in me! I humbly thank the "let go" because I have fully embraced the "new", the "possibilities", the "blessings", with all the energy, passion, zest, and excitement that I knew was still inside of me. 2012 is the brightest that I've ever seen FOR ME! However, I'm also aware that no matter what obstacles, challenges, and redirects that I encountered, I never took my eyes off of my abilities and my drive to ALWAYS "do me" no matter what.

I'm excited for the future! People, live and try to find the "YOU" in the midst of chaos and confusion. No matter what is going on in your life, "YOU" can't be taken away. You are all you have and if you're not taking care of "YOU" no one else will! Love yourself from the deepest place! Never leave you for anyone and keep your eyes on YOUR prize!

Be blessed!

WHAT?

Do you ever ask youself what you're doing? What did I do yesterday? What was I thinking? What am I thinking? What direction do I want to go? What confuses me most is what makes me continuously keep asking myself what? LOL

REVELATIONS~

Sometimes revelations come in the most obvious forms from the most non-obvious sources. I am thankful for my revelation today and embrace the knowledge that was given to me in the kindest and most caring way. I breathe in and out and release that which I now know to be truth from which I formed as pure speculation. Right on time, as usual~ Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

ALIGNMENT

I remember my mother always telling me that there's your plan and then God's plan. I now understand what she meant. No matter what I try to do to make things in my life happen faster, he just won't let it happen until it's time. I now know that there are elements of life working behind the scenes. Nothing will happen until everything is in alignment to the blueprint that is my life. I have faith and trust that my time is drawing near based on the elements that have been shown to me. I have been humbled beyond reproach and challenged to the core regarding what my abilities and talents are and how great I am at those abilities and talents. I am within the quiet before the storm. However, this storm is a good storm. I look forward to it now that I have had ample time to align my mind, body and spirit for my life ahead. I wait~ Visit me at www.AngelaArdis.com

Project

Just wrapped last night on the movie I was doing and had a really good time. I have to admit that I missed the acting thing. I had someone ask me once if I did but at the time, I truly thought I was done with it all. He definitely knew me better than I knew myself. I give full credit to his insight. I feel rejuvenated and full again...whole even. Creativity is just a part of who I am and I have to always be in the presence of situations that will allow me the ability to create in some form or fashion. I'm happiest when in the creative zone. I know this now. Maybe I always have but wanted other things more.... Now, I just have to go inside myself and figure out how to balance it all. Sacraficing one for the other in NEVER necessary. The obstacles aren't that complicated. LOL Visit me at www.AngelaArdis.com

WRITING

I write often but have come to realize after reading some of my older work that my mind just like my body has to be constantly exercised. Seriously. When I looked back over my work, my mind was deeper; writings more complicated; thoughts seemed to flow without pause. However, lately, road blocks and avalanches have invaded my mind creating obstacles that are taking major time to clear. So from this day forward, I will begin again with poetry...everyday. I won't necessarily post the poetry but I believe poetry makes you go deeper than just writing. Metaphors and prose have to make sense; play on words and soul searching emotion. Gotta get it back. Have to people. Visit me at www.AngelaArdis.com

ORGAN DONATION

I know that the operative word in my title is "DONATION", but shouldn't there be some sort of compensation given to the donors (deceased or alive) who donate their organs? Hospitals and insurance companies are making millions from these procedures. I know that the donor should just feel good about the fact that they saved a life. That's what every article I've read had to say about the donor. But hospitals don't reciprocate that, nor do insurance companies. They aren't holding raffles or lotteries for free procedures, hospital stays or anything related. The donor could be given a great vacation to recover in. They could be given a medical voucher for future medical attention for a year or more. They could be given a percent of cost. Now, yes, I'm aware that there are crazies out there who will just start donating just for money, but most hospitals have a very long and arduous screening process for donations of any kind. Most won't want to go through that. I just feel as if with all the money these centers, institutions, and insurance companies are making, the actual donor should be given a bit more than a thank you and a scar as a reminder of their kindness. SMELLING ROSES

When does life become so chaotic that you pass by the flowers without smelling them? You continuously put REAL friends on hold by not returning calls? You don't visit family as often as you should? What has happened in your life that makes you refuse to put on the brakes or at least your hazard lights? Visit me at www.AngelaArdis.com

JOURNALING

I use to journal all the time and I was so much more relaxed and mentally balanced. I keep so much crap stuck in my head that the vehicle of journaling helped me in ways one could never imagine. How many people out there faithfully journal. I have stacks of day-timers and diaries that could make a pretty interesting book one day (wink) but I began to feel as if I was cheating myself in the process. By that I mean that I felt like if all I wrote was what I did in a day, it was useless. What about the feelings of the day? How I was affected by people and elements and events of my day? How about my thoughts and analogies? Those are the elements that clog me and hinder my creative processes and then I wonder why I have "WRITER'S BLOCK". My mother purchased a journal for me for my birthday that just passed and I haven't touched it. It's beautiful and I want to utilize it and not waste it on my schedule. I have to channel my inner person regarding my thoughts and views for journaling. I miss it and like with everything else, you just have to sit down and "JUST DO IT!" Who's with me?
